Come see our faces in the flesh (again!)

First off, holy heck people! What just happened?

Three days ago, we released our newest experiment in collective feelings: The Kinder Mind course. Guided audio to help calm your inner critic.

We originally intended to release only 100 spots for the first run of the course.

They sold out in 45 minutes.

So we doubled the spots, and...

An hour later 200 were gone.

Huh. Well that was unexpected.

In the hours that followed, so many of you got in touch that we decided to open up sign-ups for the rest of the day. We now have 300 of y’all signed up and ready to go when the course starts on July 22.

Eek!

This little feelings community never ceases to amaze me. We didn’t even need to post the sign up link beyond this mailing list.

All of which tells us, we might be onto something here?

The feelings have spoken

Kinder Mind came directly out of the 70+ hours of conversation we’ve been having with Big Feels Clubbers over the past three months. Hearing about what you struggle with, and what you think might help.

Kinder Mind is also the kind of thing both Honor and I wish already existed for ourselves, for when our own inner critic has found a megaphone (and isn’t afraid to use it).

So it is so very pleasing to see that what we’ve come up with seems to have struck a chord.

Now to make this thing as useful as it can be

Like everything we do, Kinder Mind will be an ongoing experiment. Those of you in the first run, we’ll be asking you to help us keep shaping it, by telling us what you love about it, and what you’d add or change to make it even better.

As always, we don’t claim to have all ‘the answers’ when it comes to this life + feelings stuff. But we feel very lucky to have this community of other sensitive cats asking the same big feelings questions we do. Not to mention the chance to keep building things with you. Things that just might help not only this little community but all the many big feelers out there who haven’t even heard of us yet

Those of you wondering what all the fuss is about, you can read about Kinder Mind here, and sign up to the waitlist for the next time we run it :)

Phew! Okay, on with today’s actual newsletter...

Come see our faces in the flesh, tomorrow night!

Tomorrow is another *big* day for Big Feels.

(Feels like they just keep coming lately. We take a week off to sleep soon? Yes, soon brain, so soon.)

Tomorrow night is our pitch night!

Pitch night is the culmination of the 3-month accelerator we’ve been pouring our every waking thought into. We’ll be doing a 3-minute lightening pitch of Big Feels to a room full of potential supporters.

If you’re in Melbourne, and you’re a keen bean that wants to come cheer us on, hit reply and tell us, and I’ll send ya the sign up link. (I'll probably only be able to reply to the first ten -- so forgive me if I don't get back to you, we'll be running around finalising pitch things!)

We have ten spots to share (and there’s free food and booze! WAIT WHY WASN’T THAT THE HEADLINE???).

In addition to seeing Honor on stage representing Big Feels, you’ll also get to see these clever clogs pitching their great ideas.

Finally, it’s a chance to see the inner workings of an accelerator program, if you’re into that kind of thing. The Foundry658 accelerator is specifically geared toward creative entrepreneurship, so it suits us particularly well, given we live in this strange Venn diagram of social change, business, and art (oh and feelings, many, many feelings). This program has helped us get clear on what we need to do to be a sustainable, long-term initiative, while also respecting that for us, the driver will always be making content and things that actually help people.

If you’re a Melbourne-based creative type with a business idea, even if you don’t make it tomorrow night, you might want to check out the Foundry658 program for the next time they’re running an intake.
